€500,000 filly for Kodiac

A €500,000 daughter of Kodiac (pictured below) was one of the highlights of the Arqana May Sale in Deauville on Saturday when knocked down to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. Bred on the productive Shamardal cross as a daughter of Leyburn, herself a half-sister to Group 2 winner Centennial, she was sold by the Kavanagh family's Glending Stables.

A good day for Mehmas, meanwhile, was capped by the €215,000 sale of the very first lot into the ring, a colt out of Off Stage (Danehill Dancer) sold by Mocklershill to Blandford Bloodstock. Mehmas' draft also included a €155,000 colt out of Puddles sold by Sherbourne Lodge to Chauvigny Global Equine.

Many thanks also to everyone who supported us in the ring; Richard Frisby, Nick Bell, The Thoroughbred Corporation and Beechmore Bloodstock. We hope there is another Lezoo or Indestructible among them!
