Another day, another winner for Cotai Glory!
A day after Hotline Bling scored at Thirsk, Cotai Glory was to the fore again, this time at Newmarket as the sire of Dig Two, who ran out the impressive winner of the 5f novice at Newmarket.
Trained by Hugo Palmer, the striking youngster sat in behind the leaders and lengthened clear when asked by James Doyle to win going away by close to three lengths. Mehmas colt Secret Strength ran a fine race on debut in second for Amo Racing.
Dig Two, owned by Lit Lung Lee, becomes the fourth winner for his bright young sire. He was bred by Ballybrennan Stud Ltd out of Vulcinura, a Frozen Power daughter of high-class 2yo Shifting Place. Dig Two was a £28,000 Tattersalls Ireland September yearling purchase by Ed Sackville, having been pinhooked by Ihor Andray Bloodstock as a foal..
Cotai Glory is now the joint leading European first-crop sire by number of winners and stands for €5,000.
