Breeze-up grad Bulnes scores Listed success for Spain

Bulnes, a homebred colt by Galileo Gold, became the latest graduate of our breeze-up division to strike at stakes level on Tuesday when successful in the Listed Grand Criterium de Saint-Cloud at Bordeaux-Le-Bouscat.

The Spanish raider Bulnes came into the race with a brace of victories at La Zarzuela for Guillermo Arizkorreta and broke through on his black-type debut here, keeping on relentlessly to deny Afentiko by a half-length in the dying strides.

Bulnes is one of two winners out of the Slade Power mare Inspirational, a half-sister to the Listed-placed Spy Ring and Snap Shots. He was part of our draft at this year's Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale - the group also included the recent Mill Reef Stakes second La Bellota.
