Tally-Ho graduate Glounthaune, sporting the colours of Mrs Stockwell, Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith and Westerberg Ireland, made the perfect start to his career for Aidan O'Brien when making a winning debut at the Curragh on Saturday.
Another smart-looking 2yo for Kodiac, Glounthaune was always travelling kindly near the front end for Ryan Moore and showed a good attitude to fight off the more experienced Castle Star to win cosily.
Glounthaune becomes the second winner from as many foals bred by Tally-Ho Stud out of Khaimah, a Nayef half-sister to the Classic-placed Motamarris. Khaimah is also a half-sister to the dams of Irish Derby hero Santiago and Group 3-winning two-year-old Tantheem, and from the further family of Tamayuz.
Glounthaune, pictured below as a yearling, was purchased by MV Magnier for 350,000gns at Book 1 of last year's Tattersalls October Sale.
Kodiac stands for €65,000.
