It was easy for Spycatcher on Tuesday as the Vadamos colt ran out the impressive winner of the 6f novice at Pontefract.
Trained by Karl Burke, Spycatcher showed smart form last year when second in last year's Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York and again looked an exciting prospect on Tuesday, kicking clear with ease for a two-length success.
Spycatcher was bred at Tally-Ho out of Damask, a daughter of former Tally-Ho stallion Red Clubs who is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Zafisio.
Like the recent impressive winners Man Of Riddles and Mehmento, he is a graduate of the Tally-Ho breeze-up academy, having been sold for 90,000gns to John and Jake Warren on behalf of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing at last year's Tattersalls Craven Sale.
We have a draft of eight heading to next week's Tattersalls Craven Sale in Newmarket, namely two-year-olds by Kodiac, Mehmas, Cotai Glory, Galileo Gold, Vadamos, Practical Joke, Aclaim and Dabirsim. Click here to view our draft.
