A strong start to 2025 continued for Mehmas on Saturday when Incanto took the Texas Glitter Stakes for Jose d'Angelo at Gulfstream Park in the US.
The three-year-old overcame a stumbling start to swoop from the back of the field to win cosily and maintain Mehmas' good record in the US, which also includes the Grade 1 winners Going Global, Magnum Force and Chez Pierre.
A 220,000gns yearling purchase by Ben McElroy, Incanto was bred by Novidale Ltd and Eoghan Grogan out of the placed Kodiac mare Hateel, and is therefore bred on the same cross as Believing and West Acre - both should represent Mehmas on the international stage at the Dubai World Cup meeting next month.
Hateel also has a two-year-old colt by b named Green Universe.
