Mehmas crept closer to the 50 winner landmark on Wednesday when firing in a Kempton double.
First up was the Tom Dascombe-trained FOOLS RUSH IN, who struck in the 7f nursery to land his second win. Bred by Stephanie Hanly, the tough gelding is the second foal out of the winning Arcano mare Faddwa and was a £60,000 Goffs UK Premier yearling purchase by SackvilleDonald.
Only one race later, Mehmas was centre stage again, this time as the sire of MARSABIT, who captured the mile nursery for Hughie Morrison.
In the process, he became the 49th winner for Mehmas!
Marsabit was bred by Oliver Donlon out of the Medicean mare Masela and was bought by James Toller for 42,000gns as a Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling.
Mehmas will stand for €25,000 in 2021.
