Another day, another stakes winner for Kodiac!
On Friday, the Tally-Ho bred Geocentric ran out the impressive winner of the Listed Legacy Stakes at Dundalk for Ger Lyons to add to an excellent two weeks for the stallion that has already featured stakes success for Straight Answer (won the Listed Blenheim Stakes for Ger Lyons), Bear Story (won the Group 3 Diamond Stakes for Mick Halford) and El Bodegon (won the Group 3 Prix de Conde for James Ferguson on Wednesday).
Like Frenetic, another fast one for Kodiac, Geocentric carries the colours of SBA Racing having been purchased as a yearling by Ed Sackville.
She broke her maiden in good style at Navan in July before running a fine second to Sacred Bridge in the Group 3 Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh.
On Friday, Geocentric was fast out of the stalls under Colin Keane and was never challenged to win by close to three lengths.
“We're delighted with that, she's been a great servant for us," said Shane Lyons. "She could go for a break now and if so it would be a nice way to end the season on a high but she's also in the Mercury Stakes and we'll see how she comes out of the race."
Geocentric becomes the 75th stakes winner for Kodiac. She was bred by us out of Rajmahal, a daughter of Indian Ridge who has also clicked with Kodiac to produce the Listed-placed No Leaf Clover and the Group 3-placed To Wafij.
