Europe's leading sire Cotai Glory was on the mark again this week as the sire of Clarets Glory, who broke his maiden on his second start for Michael Dods at Pontefract on Friday.
Settled by the leaders, Clarets Glory made good headway to take up the running over a furlong out and win going away in an easy manner.
He becomes the 25th winner for Cotai Glory, who was also represented on Thursday by the Group 3 Dick Poole Stakes second and fourth, Pearl Glory and Porsche Cavalier.
Clarets Glory was bred by Sherbourne Lodge Stud out of Puddles, a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor who has already bred several winners. He was purchased by Michael Dods for 30,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale.
