Tally-Ho breezer Manettino made the perfect start to his racing career on Wednesday when the ready winner of his debut for Stuart Williams in the 5f novice at Yarmouth.
His win kickstarted a good day for Tally-Ho breezers that also came to include an impressive win by Perfect Power - by the Tally-Ho bred Ardad - at Hamilton.
Manettino, a son of Aclaim, was purchased by Tally-Ho Stud as a foal and resold at the recent Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale for 150,000gns to Opulence Thoroughbreds.
"I'm very pleased with him," Stuart Williams told Sky Sports Racing. "He's a big horse and I hope he'll come on a fair bit for today and again throughout the season too. He's got a very good mind, he's very laid back and it's really nice for Opulence Thoroughbreds."
Manettino maintains an excellent run for Tally-Ho breezers that also includes Yorkshire Cup hero Spanish Mission and the Listed winners Burgarita, Ad Infinitum and Mehmento.
Meanwhile, the Tally-Ho bred Perfect Power was extremely impressive for Richard Fahey at Hamilton, quickening clear for a wide-margin success over Firebomb.
The colt, who is out of the winning Frozen Power mare Sagely, was a £110,000 purchase out of the Goffs UK Breeze-Up by Blandford Bloodstock and looks worthy of a place at Royal Ascot next week - he still holds an entry in the Coventry Stakes.
