We are delighted to be standing Persian Force alongside his sire Mehmas at Tally-Ho Stud next season.
We know the horse well, having sold him for €225,000 as a Goffs Orby yearling, and have watched his career with great interest.
As is so typical of Mehmas, he was quick to come to hand for Amo Racing and Richard Hannon, running out the impressive winner of the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster in late March before winning in equally impressive fashion in a conditions race at Newbury's Lockinge meeting in May.
After running second in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, he broke through at stakes level with an easy win in the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket, with subsequent Group 1 winner Mysterious Night among those in behind.
A tough and sound colt, Persian Force went on to fill the frame in four subsequent runs at Group/Grade 1 level, namely when second in the Phoenix Stakes and Prix Morny, third in the Middle Park Stakes and fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.
“It will be nice to have Persian Force standing alongside his father Mehmas at Tally-Ho next year," Roger O'Callaghan told the TDN. "Persian Force was a lovely horse when we bought him as a foal, a lovely horse when we sold him at the Orby and he is still a lovely horse.
“He was bought by a very shrewd judge in Ross Doyle at the Orby and was a very good horse from start to finish with Richard Hannon, who did a brilliant job with him. He showed his class when winning the July Stakes at Newmarket and I think breeders will be keen to use him. We haven't decided on a fee yet.”
