Persian Force to stand for €10,000

We are delighted to announce that Persian Force will stand his first season for €10,000.

The winner of three races, he was never out of the first four in eight starts.

As is so typical of Mehmas, he was quick to come to hand for Amo Racing and Richard Hannon, running out the impressive winner of the Brocklesby Stakes at Doncaster in late March before winning in equally impressive fashion in a conditions race at Newbury's Lockinge meeting in May.

After running second in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, he broke through at stakes level with an easy win in the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket, with subsequent Group 1 winner Mysterious Night among those in behind.

A tough and sound colt, Persian Force went on to fill the frame in four subsequent runs at Group/Grade 1 level, namely when second in the Phoenix Stakes and Prix Morny, third in the Middle Park Stakes and fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

“Persian Force is the toughest two-year-old I've ever trained," said Richard Hannon. "He competed at the very highest level all his life and he was just so tough. He was our first 2yo runner on turf [of 2022] and our last 2yo runner on turf [of 2022], which just shows off his steeliness.

"One of his best attributes was his sound of mind. He was so relaxed. You could turn him on. He was like a motorbike, you turn up the throttle a little bit, do a bit of work and then he'd come right back down.

"I can't wait to train his offspring. To think Mehmas has already produced one of our best 2yos - if Persian Force does the same, I'll be in business a long time."
