Europe's leading first-crop sire Cotai Glory was represented by his second stakes winner on Sunday when Purciaretta captured the Listed Premio Divino Amore at Rome.
Already a dual winner for owner Sas Latina, the Endo Botti-trained filly settled in second and showed a bright turn of foot to challenge the leader and win going away by a wide margin.
Purciaretta was bred by Glacken View out of Sharqawiyah, a winning Dubawi mare from the family of Poet's Word.
The second stakes winner for Cotai Glory alongside the brilliant Group 2 Prix Robert Papin winner Atomic Jones, she is one of eight stakes horses for her leading young sire overall - no other first-crop sire can boast more. In addition to Atomic Jones and Purciaretta, the list consists of Eldrickjones, Pearl Glory, Ask My Glory, Dig Two,King X J and Sophie's Star.
Cotai Glory is also Europe's leading sire by number of first-crop winners on 31.
