Already a record-breaking sire this year by number of 2yo stakes winners, Kodiac added another to his tally on Saturday when HAVANA LOVE won the Listed Premio Criterium Femminile II Tris at Rome.
Her win came on the same card that Sopran Aragorn, from the first crop of Kodiac's son Coulsty, won the Listed Premio Rumon Memorial Daniele Porcu.
Havana Love becomes the 9th 2yo stakes winner of the year for Kodiac. It's an impressive list that also includes:
- Prix Morny and Queen Mary Stakes heroine CAMPANELLE
- Coventry Stakes winner NANDO PARRADO
- Flying Childers Stakes winner UBETTABELIEVEIT
- Firth Of Clyde Stakes winner UMM KULTHUM
- and Listed winners BAHRAIN PRIDE, CAPTAIN MAGNUM, FRENETIC and ZOETIC
Havana Love was bred in Ireland by Razza Del Velino Srl out of the winning Galileo mare Galmalea. She is a half-sister to Listed winner Montalegre.
