'She is very fast' - deserved stakes win for tough Cotai Glory mare Zahir Ulema

Tough Cotai Glory mare Zahir Zulema added further to her record on Sunday when successful in the Listed Premio Certosa at Milan.

It was a deserved first stakes win for the five-year-old, who becomes the 17th stakes winner for Cotai Glory overall.

Trained by Vincenzo Caruso for Paolo Serrantino, she travelled well in behind the pace and kicked clear for an easy two-length success.

"She needed the race last time at Campanelle," said her jockey Gabriele Cannarella, "and improved a lot this time. She did it very well, she is very fast."

Bred by J Mc Glynn and C Lyons, she is out of the Firebreak mare Lostintheclouds.

Cotai Glory stands for €15,000.
