Top miler Vadamos appears to have another smart prospect on his resume in Messidor, who made its back to back wins for Joseph O'Brien at Dundalk on Wednesday.
Messidor was always travelling well for Declan McDonogh and after making smooth headway, quickened well for a wide-margin success over the favourite Hale Bopp.
"She's improving all the time and she hit the line well under just a hand ride," McDonogh told the Racing Post. "She's going the right way and there is a lot to like about her."
Messidor was bred in Ireland by Fairway Thoroughbreds out of Pyrenean Queen, a Zoffany half-sister to Group 3 winner Duchess Andorra from the famous Pass The Peace family. She was bought for €28,000 by Dan Hayden as a Goffs Orby yearling and races for Blue Devil Racing Stable LLC.
A top miler, Vadamos is now a successful young sire. In addition to Messidor, his early performers include the Group 3-placed Spycatcher and Andrew Balding's two-time winner Oo De Lally, who is rated 94.
