Tally-Ho bred Nine Tenths continued her rise through the ranks for William Haggas on Saturday when taking the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes at Wolverhampton to become the 94th stakes winner for Kodiac.
Lightly campaigned last year, Nine Tenths was last seen running a good second to My Dear Friend in the Listed Tandridge Stakes at Lingfield. St Albans Bloodstock's filly made no mistake on Saturday under William Buick, travelling well enough just behind the leaders to take it up a furlong out and win a shade cosily from Misty Grey.
"She's improving," said William Buick. "She did everything right there, she was very fluent throughout the race. She won very well, she's straightforward and tries hard."
Nine Tenths was bred by us out of Covetous, a Medaglia d'Oro half-sister to the July Cup runner-up Sceptical. In turn, she is out of Queen Mary Stakes winner Jealous Again.
Nine Tenths was part of our draft at the 2021 Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale, where she was bought by Blandford Bloodstock on behalf of owner St Albans Bloodstock. Many congratulations to all connections.
