Tally-Ho graduate Spycatcher produced an exceptional turn of foot to land the Listed Kachy Stakes at Lingfield Park on Saturday, swooping from near last to first under Clifford Lee to win in cosy fashion by a neck.
A first-crop son of former stud resident Vadamos (pictured below), Spycatcher was sold by us as a breezer for 90,000gns to John and Jake Warren at the 2020 Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale. He was sent to Karl Burke and has operated at a high level throughout his career to date, running second in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at two and third in the Group 3 Pavilion Stakes at three.
Saturday's success, in which he beat the likes of Lord Of The Lodge and Rohaan, was his third victory overall.
Spycatcher was bred at Tally-Ho out of Damask, appropriately a daughter of our former Group 1 sire Red Clubs. She is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Zafisio.
Spycatcher becomes the second stakes-winning breezer for us in as many weeks following Galileo Gold's Maglev, successful in the Listed Baffle Stakes at Santa Anita.
